Aircraft History
Built by Bristol. Assigned Royal Air Force (RAF) serial number T5338. Disassembled and shipped overseas to Australia and reassembled.

Wartime History
On June 27, 1943 assigned to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) as Beaufighter Mark VIc serial number A19-120 and reassembled as 1 Air Depot (1 AD). On May 29, 1943, this Beaufighter was flown to Gurney Airfield on a ferry flight for delivery to 30 Squadron. During the landing, the undercarriage was damaged. Repaired by 10 RSU, then on September 11, 1943 assigned to No. 30 Squadron with code code LY-H. During June 1944, operated from Vivigani Airfield.

Mission History
On June 16, 1944 took off from Tadji Airfield on a mission against Muschu Island. Over the target, hit by anti-aircraft fire and crashed.

Wreckage
Postwar, the remains of the crew were recovered.

Memorials
Both crew were officially declared dead the day of the mission After the recovery of remains, both were buried at the Lae War Cemetery. Hall at DD. C. 10. Turner at DD. C. 9.
