Wartime History Delivered to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) as Beaufort Mark VIII serial number A9-599. Assigned to 7 Squadron. No known nickname or nose art. Mission History On February 11, 1945 took off from Tadji Airfield piloted by P/O Clyde S. J. Warbrook on a night anti-submarine patrol off New Guinea. Reportedly lost off Wewak. When this aircraft failed to return it was officially declared Missing In Action (MIA). Memorials The entire crew was officially declared dead the day of the mission.
