C-47A 42-23700 astro dome view rearward towars the tail after force landed near Terapo
In the foreground is the astro dome. Beyond is the radio aerial and beyond the tail with leading edge damaged from an accidental collision with C-47 #168 from the 21st Troop Carrier Squadron
(21st TCS). A parachute to mark the downed plane is laid across the fuselage partially covering the U.S. Star and bar marking. Beyond is kunai grass that is taller than the plane.
