Standing on the wing are three members of the 2/4th Field Ambulance gathered on and beside the wreckage of a Douglas C47 Skytrain. Left to right: Captain Geoffrey Vernon Mutton, NX34710 Medical Officer; Lieutenant Colonel Arthur Francis Hobson, NX454, CO of 2/4th Field Ambulance and possibly Captain Alan Oliver Watson, NX34655, dental officer. In the distance is the peak of Mount Lamington. This photograph was likely taken December 28, 1942 when Watson is known to have taken a photograph at this location.
