IJN 121 Kōkūtai

Aircraft History Built by Nakajima. Delivered to the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) as C6N1 Model 11 Saiun (Myrt) manufacture number 821. Wartime History Assigned to the 121 Kōkūtai (121 Air Group). Tail code 21-104. This Myrt was destoryed while parked at Ushi Point Airifeld (North Field) on Tinian. Wreckage On July 26, 1944 captured by U.S. Marines at Ushi Point Airifeld (North Field) on Tinian. During late September 1944 or October 1, 1944 this Myrt was studied by a U.S. technical intelligence team that noted the manufacture number as 812 and tail number 21-104. Ultimate fate unknown, likely scrapped or otherwise disappeared. Jim Long adds: "I think I've seen at least one color profile drawing of 21-104, but I don't recall seeing a photo."
