On February 26, 1942 at night took off Captain Cornelis Blaak took off from from Broome Airfield piloting DC-3 "Emoe" PH-AFZ on a flight bound for Bandoeng West Airfield (Andir) on western Java but crashed near Loeboekkelihat.
