Aircraft History Built by Aichi at Watanabe Iron Works. True serial number unknown. Delivered to the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) as Type 0 Reconnaissance Seaplane / E13A1 Reisen Shiki Sui Tei (Jake) manufacture number unknown. Wartime History Assigned to an unknown Kōkūtai (Air Group). This Jake sank off Arakabesan Island or Koror Island. Wreckage This aircraft remains in shallow water near the shore. It is a popular tourist site and often visited by tourists while snorkeling or kayaking in the area. The upper fuselage is cut down. The engine mount is broken, causing the engine to face diagonally downward and remains standing atop its two floats off the bottom. References Thomas C.
