1st Lt. Robert R. Klingman inspecting the propeller of his F4U-1D Corsair at Kadena Airfield on Okinawa
On May 10, 1945 Klingman rammed a Ki-46 Dinah three times before causing it to crash. The impacts broke off the last 6" of the propeller and bent the blade.
