American personnel with the grave of Lt(jg Kenneth A. Flinn at Ryuhoji Temple near Ofuna Camp On October 13, 1944 pilot F6F-3 Hellcat 41715 ditched near shore into shallow water and was captured by the Japanese Army and became a Prisoner Of War (POW).
