Aircraft History Built by General Motors. Constructors Number 5877. Delivered to the U.S. Navy (USN) as FM-2 Wildcat bureau number 86819. At the end of World War II, sold as surplus. Around 1952, purchased by Butler Aviation of Redmond, Oregon and operated as a crop duster. During 1955, crashed while spraying. Afterwards, the wreckage was bought and sold by several owners. During 1983 aquired by Yanks Museum (Yankee Air Museum) and registered as N5833. Restored to flying condition, first flight April 24, 1987. During 1988 owned by Yesterday's Air Force. Purchased by Bob Reiss then donated to CAF San Diego (Air Group One). Painted in the markings of "00". During the 2000's painted in Royal Navy marking with fuselage code Q T.
