Three Japanese Navy G3M2 Nell crew members captured on Luzon in the Philippines
The three Japanese are seated in chairs their precise identity has not been determined. (Left to right) Prisoner No. 1 with his left arm extended, Prisoner No. 2 reaching with his right hand and Prisoner No. 3 with his right has his right arm in a sling. On December 12, 1941 this crew participated in a bombing mission against Clark Field and was hit in its left engine by anti-aircraft fire and force landed on Luzon in the Philippines. Afterwards, the crew were captured and became Prisoners Of War (POW). Behind them is a blackboard with "U.S." in chalk divided into rows and columns. At the far left is the base of a fire extinguisher.
