pilot SqnLdr Ron McDonald, CO 452 Sqn, who was shot down by Zekes of Ku 202 over Tumbling Waters on 7 September 1943. FlgOff Paul Tully of 452 Sqn was also downed that day - both parachuted to safety. FlgOff Hinds of 54 (RAF) Sqn was shot down and killed the same day.
