Aircraft History Built by Mitsubishi at Nagoya No. 3 Works. Delivered to the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) as Type 1 Attack Bomber / G4M1 Betty manufacture number unknown. Wartime History Assigned to an unknown Kōkūtai (Air Group). No known markings or tail code. Mission History During 1942 or 1943, this Betty likely took off on a mission against Port Moresby. This Betty crashed near the Brown River to the northwest of Port Moresby. Wreckage The wreckage includes the cockpit section and a portion of a tail turret with the later model modified tail turret.
