Aircraft History Built by Lockheed Aircraft Corporation (LAC) in Burbank. as model RA-29. Constructor Number 6359. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as A-29-LO Hudson serial number 41-23542. Royal Air Force (RAF) serial numbers BW680. Shipped overseas as part of defense aid consignment. Wartime History On April 5, 1942 assigned to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) to 2 Air Depot (2 AD) at Richmond. On April 6, 1942 assigned to No. 6 Squadron and arrived at Garbutt Field. On May 11, 1942 assigned to No. 32 Squadron. On May 24, 1942 took off form Rockhampton Airfield with Hudson A16-191 on a flight bound for Garbutt Field near Townsville. During the flight at 2,000', collided with Hudson A16-191 over Giru in Queensland. Hudson A16-191 crashed into a mangrove swamp killing everyone aboard. This aircraft managed to regain control before it crashed and only two crew members received minor injuries. Ultimate fate unknown, likely scrapped or otherwise disappear.
