Aircraft History Built by Mitsubishi at the Oe-machi plant during late October 1942. At the factory painted overall gray. Delivered to the Japanese Army Air Force (JAAF) as Type 100 Command Reconnaissance Aircraft Shinshitei / Ki-46-II Dinah manufacture number 2251. Wartime History Assigned to the 76th Dokuritsu Dai Shijugo Chutai (76th Independent Squadron). The tail the motif of the air signals in sumire (violet). This Dinah operated from Lae Airfield. This aircraft was likely damaged on the ground and abandoned. Wreckage On September 16, 1943 the Australian Army occupied Lae Airfield. At least eighty Japanese aircraft were captured including this Dinah. Afterwards, moved into a bone yard area with other captured Japanese aircraft. Ultimate fate unknown, likely scrapped.
