Pilot Lt. Katsutoshi Tsutsui (KIA) Observer Lt. Keisuke Shimazaki (KIA) Crashed June 12, 1944 Aircraft History Built by Mitsubishi at the Oe-machi plant. Delivered to the Japanese Army Air Force (JAAF) as Ki-46-II Dinah manufacture number unknown (four digits). Wartime History Assigned to the 70th Dokuritsu Dai Shijugo Chutai (70th Independent Command Squadron). Painted overall gray with the unit marking of a reverse white 'S' motiff of a river on the tail. Mission History On June 12, 1944 took off piloted by Lt. Katsutoshi Tsutsui with observer Lt. Keisuke Shimazaki on a reconnaissance mission over Darwin.
