Aircraft History Built by Mitsubishi. Unknown if this aircraft was a reconnaissance version or assault version. Delivered to the Japanese Army Air Force (JAAF) as Type 99 / Ki-51 (Sonia). Wartime History Assigned to an unknown Hiko Sentai (Flying Regiment). Mission History This Sonia made a force landing near Lawas on northwest Borneo. Wreckage This Sonia remains in situ in Lawas.
