Aircraft History Built by Kawasaki during June 1943. Uncoded serial number 247. Delivered to the Japanese Army Air Force (JAAF) as Ki-61-II Tony manufacture number 347. Armament configuration "Ko" with 2 x 12.7mm Ho-103 machine cannons in the nose and two 7.7 mm Type 89 machine guns in the wings. Wartime History Delivered to the Japanese Army Air Force (JAAF). Assigned to either the 68th Sentai or 78th Sentai. No known nickname or nose art. This aircraft was abandoned at Alexishafen Airfield. Charles Darby noted the manufacture number 347 and adds: "Engine #960, Fitted with tail plane of Ki-61 367 and left lower u/c door of Ki-61 278. [No. '347' painted in] vermillion on main u/c doors."
