Aircraft History Built by Stinson. Constructors Number 76-1862. Delivered to the U.S. Army as Stinson L-5B Sentinel serial number 42-99621. This plane was donated by Cleveland, Ohio with stenciled "Cleveland Mercy sponsored by the city of Cleveland Ohio through a 5th war bond bid of $38,000,000". Disassembled and shipped overseas to India and reassembled. Wartime History Assigned to the 10th Air Force (10th AF), 1st Air Commando Group in India. This plane was photographed during an inspection by Lord Louis Mountbatten and Major General Howard C. Davidson. Ultimate fate unknown, likely scrapped or otherwise disappeared.
