Aircraft History
Built by Consolidated Aircraft Corporation in San Diego. Constructors Number 106. Purchased by the Royal Air Force (RAF) as Liberator II serial number AL608.

Wartime History
On December 10, 1941 at the start of the Pacific War, requisitioned by the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as LB-30 and never had a serial number assigned and instead retained RAF serial number AL608. Assigned to Project X.

Assigned to the 7th Bombardment Group (7th BG), 11th Bombardment Squadron (11th BS) as one of fifteen requisitioned LB-30s assigned to the "Straubel Echelon" under the command of Captain Austin A. Straubel and prepared for a ferry flight overseas. In preparation, modified at Tuscon, Arizona by Consolidated employees working under the direction of a USAAF officer. No known nickname or nose art.

On January 2, 1942 took off piloted by piloted by 1st Lt H. W. Markey on a flight bound for the NEI (NEI). During the flight, the wing tank leaks. On February 12, 1942 arrives in Java.

On February 24, 1942 during the night took off piloted by Lt. Wade to evacuate British Army General Archibald P. Wavell from Jogjakarta Airfield on Java to Ceylon (Sri Lanka) arriving the next day.

Afterwards, became part of the 10th Air Force (10th AF) and remains in India.

Fate
On October 31, 1944 officially condemned and written off. Ultimate fate unknown likely scrapped or otherwise disappeared.
