IJN 341 Kōkūtai Sento Hikotai

Aircraft History Built by Kawanishi at Naruo during 1944. At the factory, painted with green upper surfaces and gray lower surfaces. Delivered to the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) as N1K1-J Model 11 Shiden (George) manufacture number 5368. Wartime History Assigned to 341 Kōkūtai (341 Air Group), Sento Hikotai 402 (Fighter Squadron 402). Tail code 341-S49 in yellow (the S represented Sento Hikotai). The tail code is also listed as 341 S-49. By late January 1945 abandoned at Clark Field. Wreckage On January 30, 1945 captured by the U.S. Army at Clark Field. This aircraft was studied by Technical Air Intelligence Unit - South West Pacific Area (TAIU-SWPA). Ultimate fate unknown, likely scrapped or otherwise disappeared.
