Background
The Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) 341 Kōkūtai (341 Air Group), Sento Hikotai (Fighter Squadron) operated the N1K1-J Shiden (George) from Clark Field on Luzon in the Philippines.

By late January 1945 at least three N1K1-J Shiden (George) were captured at Clark Field.
N1K1-J Model 11 Shiden (George) Tail 341-6 S  captured at Clark Field, ultimate fate unknown.
N1K2-J Model 11 Shiden (George) 5368 Tail 341-S49  captured at Clark Field, ultimate fate unknown.
N1K2-J Model 11 Shiden (George) 7102 Tail 341-S23  captured at Clark Field, repaired by TAIU-SWPA and flight tested.
