Aircraft History Built by Lockheed Aircraft Corporation (LAC) in Burbank in December 1943 as the first P-38-15 built. Construction Number 422-2813. On November 30, 1943 accepted by the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) and was available the same day. On December 24, 1943 delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as P-38J-15-LO Lightning serial number 42-103979. Wartime History Assigned to the Material Command. On November 8, 1945 at Walnut Ridge to the Reconstruction Finance Corporation (RFC) for disposal or sale. Likely scrapped or otherwise disappeared.
