Aircraft History Built by Lockheed Aircraft Corporation (LAC) in Burbank in December 1943 as the second P-38-15 built. Construction Number 422-2814. On November 30, 1943 accepted by the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) and was available the same day. On December 20, 1943 delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as P-38J-15-LO Lightning serial number 42-103980. Wartime History Assigned to Material Command and later 329th Fighter Group (329th FG). On April 20, 1944 written off. Ultimate fate unknown. Likely scrapped or otherwise disappeared.
