Aircraft History Built by Lockheed Aircraft Corporation (LAC) in Burbank in late December 1943 as the seventeenth P-38J-15 built. Constructors Number 2829. This aircraft had an aluminum finish. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as P-38J-15-LO Lightning serial number 42-103995. Disassembled and shipped overseas and reassembled. Wartime History Assigned to the 5th Air Force (5th AF), 475th Fighter Group (475th FG) "Satan's Angels", 433rd Fighter Squadron (433rd FS) "Possum". No known nickname, nose art or markings. Assigned a squadron number in the range of 170–199. Ultimate fate unknown, likely scrapped or otherwise disappeared.
