Aircraft History Built by Lockheed Aircraft Corporation (LAC) in Burbank. Constructors Number 422-4986. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as P-38L-1-LO Lightning serial number 44-23982. On February 23, 1945 while parked at Burbank Airport both Major Richard I. Bong and Marjorie "Marge" A. Bong were photographed in the cockpit and standing with the plane and made a local flight. Ultimate fate unknown likely scrapped.
