Darryl Wilson adds: "I have been trying to identify an aircraft wreckage in PNG. We have tentatively identified it as a P-38 Lightning. We have 30+ photos of the site. My family and I lived near the site for 17 years but never heard the locals tell about it until now. I am 80+ years old and retired, but I am in frequent contact with the local people who found it. The plane is badly broken up and lying in a swamp." References Thanks to Darryl Wilson for additional information Contribute
