Aircraft History Built by Bell in Buffalo, New York. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as P-39Q-5-BE Airacobra serial number 42-20393. Disassembled and shipped overseas and reassembled. Wartime History Assigned 5th Air Force, 71st Tactical Reconnaissance Group, 82nd Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron. Assigned to pilot Lt. Delta C. "Del" Graham, Jr., O-798281. Nicknamed "Maxine". Officially credited with one confirmed aerial victory. Aircraft is P-39Q serial 42-20393. Ultimate fate unknown, possibly this Grahan was killed piloting this aircraft when he died on a combat mission on March 1, 1944. Memorials Graham is buried at Brooking Cemetery in Raytown, Missouri.
