Aircraft History Built by Consolidated at San Diego. Delivered to the U.S. Navy (USN) as PBY-5 Catalina bureau number 2304. Wartime History Assigned to Patrol Wing 10 (Pat Wing 10) to Patrol Squadron 22 (VP-22). Assigned squadron number 13. No known nickname or nose art. Mission History On February 5, 1942 while taking off from Saumlaki Seaplane Base inside Saumlaki Bay, ran aground on a coral reef and was damaged. Wreckage Afterwards, beached and abandoned as not salvageable. Ultimate fate unknown.
