Aircraft History Built by Boeing-Canada. Constructors Number 61194. Delivered to the U.S. Navy (USN) as PB2B-2 Catalina bureau number 44288. Assigned Royal Air Force (RAF) serial number JZ835. Wartime History Assigned to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) as PB2B Catalina serial number A24-362. On June 1, 1945 assigned to No. 43 Squadron with code OX-V. Nicknamed "Felix". Piloted by Rees Hughes. This Catalina operated from Darwin and other locations in the Northern Territory of Australia. Postwar On February 19, 1946 assigned to 115 Air Sea Rescue Flight. On October 11, 1946 sold to Butler Air Transport. Fate unknown, scrapped or otherwise disappeared.
