Aircraft History
Built by Consolidated at San Diego. Delivered to the United States Navy (USN) as PBY-5 Catalina bureau number unknown. Possibly, this aircraft was an OA-10 Catalina serial number unknown

Wartime History
This Catalina was stripped of usable parts and had both engines removed before it was deliberatly sunk to the south of Biak Island.

This Catalina is upright on a sandy bottom at a depth of 90' / 27.4m to the south of Biak Island.

Roland Chia adds:
"It is located about 15 minutes away from the present day Biak Harbor by traditional outrigger boat."
