Aircraft History
Built by Lockheed as as model 237-27-01 in Burbank. Constructors Number 237-5814. Delivered to the U.S. Navy (USN) as PV-1 Ventura bureau number 34924.

Wartime History
Assigned to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) to Bombing Squadron 125 (VB-125). No known nickname or nose art.

Mission History
On August 8, 1944 took off from Munda Airfield on New Georgia piloted by Lt. Williams E. Davis on a routine targets of opportunity search mission over Bougainville. This aircraft ditched and the crew were rescued.

Memorials
Beathard retired from the U.S. Navy with the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He passed away March 8, 2001 at age 83. He is buried at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
