Chronology

1st Lt. Edward A. Croker from VMTB-233 with TBF Avenger parked at Fighter One on Guadalcanal
On September 16, 1943 Croker was piloting TBF Avenger 06452 on a bombing mission against Ballale. Damaged over the target he bailed out and was captured. On February 21, 1944 he was executed as a Prisoner Of War (POW) at Rabaul.
