Aircraft History Built by Interstate Aircraft and Engineering Corporation in DeKalb, Illinois. Delivered to the U.S. Navy (USN) as TDR-1 Attack Drone bureau number 33529. Restoration During the 1990s, this drone was restored by the National Museum of Naval Aviation (NMNA) and painted in the markings of TDR-1 "Edna III" (with no tail number) assigned to Special Task Air Group One (STAG-1) used on the first demonstration test mission on July 30, 1944 against the Yamazuki Maru beached on Guadalcanal. Display Today displayed at the National Museum of Naval Aviation (NMNA) suspended from the ceiling. The drone is armed with three bombs: one on the centerline and a smaller bomb under each wing. The nicknamed "Edna III" is painted in white.
