Wartime History During the Pacific War, Millingimbi Airfield was used by the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF). RAAF units based at Millingimbi No. 2 Squadron (Hudson) 1943 A-29 Hudson A16-112 Force landed on May 7, 1943, converted to components and abandoned. Today Still in use today as Millingimbi Airport as a small airport. Airport codes: ICAO: YMGB IATA: MGT.
