Location
Lat 15° 30' 41S Long 128° 9' 11E  Wyndham Airfield is located to the southeast of Wyndham in Western Australia. Today known as Wyndham Airport.

Wartime History
Used by the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF). During March 1942, attacked by Japanese aircraft on two occasions. The first air rad was on March 3, 1942, DH.84 Dragon A34-9 from 34 Squadron landed at Wyndham Airfield at 10:00am. Immediately after touching down, the airfield was attacked by eight A6M2 Zeros from the 23rd Koku Sentai The crew and passengers escaped as the aircraft which continued on down the runway on fire and was destroyed. The second raid was on March 23, 1942.

Today
Still in use today as Wyndham Airport. Airport codes: ICAO: YWYM IATA: WYN. Wyndham Airport has two runways: the first is oriented 30/12 and measures 5,272' x 59' surfaced with asphalt. The second is oriented 36/18 and measures 3,287' x 98' surfaced with gravel.
