Meiktila Airfield is located at Meiktila near Mandalay in Myanmar (Burma).

Construction
The Meiktila Airfield complex had four runways:
Meiktila Airfield: 95° 53' 0" E / 20° 50' 0" N
Meiktila No. 2 Airfield: 95° 42' 0" E / 2° 0' 0" N  
Meiktila Satellite Airfield: 95° 50' 0" E / 20° 48' 0" N
Meiktila North (Thedaw Airfield): 95° 55' 0" E / 20° 55' 0" N  

Wartime History
Occupied by the Japanese and used as a military airfield until early 1945.

By March 4, 1945 Meiktila is mostly occupied by the Indian Army, 17th Division. Afterwards, used by Allied aircraft.
