| Location Lat 23°40′27″N Long 086°11′57″E Nawadih Airfield is located at Nawadih in India. Wartime History During late September 1943, Nawadih was the first base in India for the 311th Bombardment Group (Dive) was redesignated the 311th Fighter-Bomber Group (311th FBG) on September 30, 1943. Its 382rd, 383rd and 384th Bombardment Squadrons (Dive) are redesignated 528th Fighter-Bomber Squadron, 529th Fighter-Bomber Squadron and 530th Fighter-Bomber Squadron (530th FBS). Nawadih remained open as a combat communications radio relay airfield for C-46 Commando and C-47 Dakota until September 15, 1945 when closed.
