Location Lat 3° 20' 0" S Long 128° 18' 0" E Liang Airfield is located at Liang on Ambon Island in the Molucca Islands (Maluku). Also known as "Ambon East". Prewar and during the Pacific War located in the Netherlands East Indies (NEI). Today located in Maluku Province (Provinsi Maluku) in Indonesia. Construction Built prewar by the Dutch. A second strip was located at Laha Airfield. The airfield had a single runway parallel to the coast. Wartime History In early February 1942 occupied by the Japanese for the duration of the Pacific War until the official surrender of Japan in September 1945.
