Location
Lat 3° 26' 33S Long 114° 45' 45E  Oelin Airfield is located at an elevation of 66' above sea level to the east of Bandjermasin (Bandjarmasin) near Martapura inland from the southeast of Borneo. During the Pacific War, known to the Allies as Bandjermasin Airfield. Prewar and during the Pacific War, part of the Netherlands East Indies (NEI). Today located in South Kalimantan Province in Indonesia. Today known as Syamsudin Noor Airport. In Indonesian known as Bandar Udara International Syamsudin Noor.

Wartime History
During the Pacific War, used by the Japanese until the end of the Pacific War. On January 1, 1942 A group of U.S. Pursuit pilots including 1st Lt. Boyd D. "Buzz" Wagner took off flying a Beechcraft Model 18 from Bataan to Bandjermasin Airfield. When the right engine failed to start, it was abandoned and the group hitched a ride aboard a U.S. Navy (USN) PBY Catalina to Soerabaja Airfield on Java.

Today
Still in use today as Syamsudin Noor International Airport or Syamsudin Noor Airport. The single runway is oriented 28/10 measuring 8,202' x 148' surfaced with asphalt. Airport codes: ICAO: WAOO IATA: BDJ.
