Location
Lat 3° 19' 25S Long 114° 35' 20E  Banjarmasin is located at an elevation of 3' above sea level near the coast of southern Borneo. Also spelled Bandjermasin or Banjarmasin. Prewar and during the Pacific War part of the Netherlands East Indies (NEI). Today located in South Kalimantan Province (Kalimantan Timur) in Indonesia. Also known as Bandjarmasin. Also known as Oelin or Ulin.

Wartime History
On February 13, 1942 Japanese capture Bandjermasin. Occupied by the Japanese until the end the official surrender of Japan in early September 1945.
