(U.S. Army) At 8:44am 3d Bn of 1st Inf, 6th Div lands unapposed at Sansapor. Quickly, Sansapor Plantation and Sansapor village are secured and defensive positions established. Cape Sansapor is found to be unsuitable for PT base but is to become site of radar warning installation and staging base area.

August 12, 1944
(FEAF) P-47s support ground operations in the area of Sansapor Point by bombing Dore.

May 1945–July 1945
(RAAF) No. 15 Squadron conducts bombing and strafing attacks against the Sansapor area.
