Location
Lat 36° 22' 0" N  Long 140° 26' 0" E  Mito Airfield was located at Mitu on Honshu, Ibaraki Prefecture in the Kanto Region of Japan. Located to the northeast of Tokyo. Known as Mito No. 1 or Mito Airfield No. 1. Nearby was Mito Airfield (No. 2).

Construction
The single runway was 4,200' x 6,000; surfaced with turf. Facilities included a direction finder.

Army airfield and air signal school and training school for air intelligence.
