Location
Lat 36° 23' 0" N Long 140° 36' 0" E Mito Airfield (No. 2) is located near Mito in Ibaraki Prefecture, Kanto Region on Honshu in Japan. To the southwest is Tokyo. Located about 2.5 north of Minato. Other souces state six miles east of Mito. Known as Mito No. 2 or Mito Airfield No. 2. Nearby was Mito Airfield (No. 1).
Construction
Single runway was 4200' x 6000', turf surface. The airfield had five hangars, complete facilities.

Army flying school for fighters and gunnery training.
