Also known as "Christmas Airfield" or "Cassidy Airfield" Wartime History During the Pacific War, used by American aircraft being ferried from Hawaii to the South Pacific and Australia. American units based at Christmas 15th FG, 12th FS (P-39) November 19, 1942 departs Bauer Today Still in use today as Christmas Island Airport.
