Location Lat 14° 10' 27N Long 145° 14' 33E Rota Airfield is located at an elevation of 607' to the north of Sinapalo in the center of eastern Rota Island in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) in the United States of America. Also known as Sinapalo Airfield. Borders Asuzudo Point is located to the north and Aratsu Bay to the south. Today known as Benjamin Taisacan Manglona International Airport, Rota International Airport or Rota Airport. Construction Single runway running east to west, with taxiways and limited revetments to the north and south of the runway, and anti-aircraft defenses on the southern side of the strip. American missions against Rota May 21, 1944 - July 26, 1945 Today Still in use today as a small airport known as Benjamin Taisacan Manglona International Airport. Also known as Rota International Airport or Rota Airport. The single runway is oriented 27/09 measures 6,000' x 150' surfaced with asphalt. Airport codes: ICAO: PGRO and IATA: ROP.
