    Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI)  United States
Location
The Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) is part of the United States of America (USA). Located in the northern portion of the Mariana Island Group (Mariana Islands) in Micronesia surrounded by the Central Pacific Ocean and to the west is the Philippine Sea. Also known as the Northern Mariana Islands. To the south is the Southern Mariana Islands (Territory of Guam).

Northern Islands (Northern Islands Municipality)
Farallon de Pajaros Island (Urracas) located at the far north of the Northern Mariana Islands.
Maug Islands (Ma'ok)  three small islands in the Northern Mariana Islands.
Asuncion Island  located at the northern end of the Northern Mariana Islands.
Agrihan Island (Agrigan)  located in the Northern Mariana Islands between Asuncion and Pagan.
Pagan Island  located in the Northern Mariana Islands between Agrihan and Alamagan.
Alamagan Island  located in the Northern Mariana Islands between Pagen and Guguan.
Guguan Island  located in the Northern Mariana Islands between Alamagan and Zealandia Bank.
Zealandia Bank (Farallon de Torres, Piedras de Torres, Papaungan)  in the Northern Mariana Islands.
Sarigan Island  located in the Northern Mariana Islands between Zealandia Bank and Anatahan.
Anatahan Island  located in the Northern Mariana Islands between Sarigan and Saipan.
Farallon de Medinilla Island located in the Northern Mariana Islands between Anatahan and Saipan.

Southern Islands (Southern Islands Municipality)
Saipan Island  occupied by the Japanese during December 1941. Liberated by U.S. forces June 15, 1944.
Tanapag Harbor  borders the western coast of Saipan Island.
Mañagaha Island (Maniagassa Island)  located off the western coast of Saipan.
Saipan Channel  narrow strait located between Saipan Island and Tinian Island.
Tinian Island  prewar Japanese protectorate. Liberated by U.S. forces July 24, 1944 developed into B-29 bases.
Aguigan Island (Aguihan, Aguijan)  small island located to the southwest of Tinian.
Rota Island (Luta)  located at the southern end of the North Mariana Islands
