Location Ebeye Seaplane Base was located in the South Atoll to the west of Ebeye Island in Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands. The seaplanes operating area and moorings were to the west of the island. Also known as "Ebeye Island Seaplane Base". Construction During 1940, Chitose, Kamoi and Kinugasa Maru carrying construction crews and technicians to build seaplane bases and facilities at Eyebe Seaplane Base. The ships made several trips to and from Japan to replenish construction supplies. Wartime History Used by the Japanese until early 1944. American Usage After American occupation of the area in early 1944, the seaplane base was used by U.S. Navy (USN) for the remainder of the Pacific War.
