Location Lat 11° 31' N Long 122° 45' E Dumarao Airfield is located at an elevation of 114' / 34m near Dumarao (Dumalao) in Capiz Province on Panay Island in the Western Visayas (Region VI) in the Philippines. A prewar railroad line connected Passi to Dumarao. Construction Prewar, Dumarao Airfield was built by U.S. Army engineers as a single runway roughly parallel and divergent from adjacent railroad line. Wartime History During the Japanese occupation, a ground unit under the command of Filipino guerrillas Major Magin Bautista was responsible for management and security of Dumarao Airfield. During 1944-1945 American planes air dropped small arms and supplies for distribution to Filipino guerillas on Panay. Today Disused since the Pacific War.
