(FEAF) B-17s bomb the Japanese beachhead at Legaspi. Also, a P-40E Warhawk pilo Lt. Grattan "Grant" Mahony took off from Nichols Field on a mission to Mindanao and returning via Legaspi strafed a radio tower and was fired on by anti-aircraft guns at Legaspi Airfield then dove to strafed parked aircraft and was chased by Zeros as he strafed and followed him to the vicinity of Mount Mayon before he managed to escape and returned to Nichols Field safely.
